• How do they handle emergencies or falls?

Living spaces

• Room size and layout — would it feel like home?
• Bathroom accessibility (grab bars, walk-in shower?)
• Can residents bring their own furniture?

Dining

• Can you sample a meal?
• How do they accommodate dietary needs?
• Are there flexible meal times?

Activities & engagement

• What activities are offered daily/weekly?
• Are there outings or transportation?
• How do they support family visits?

Costs & contract

• What's included in the base rate?
• What are add-on costs (care levels, medications, etc.)?
• What's the move-in process and deposit?
• What's the discharge/notice policy?
